Our Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium stands out for its versatility, adaptability to various food applications, and compatibility with most manufacturing technologies. Chondroitin Sulfate's classification varies according to national legislation worldwide. In many countries, it is used in food supplements. Our ZPD food-grade products meet the requirements laid down in the US Pharmacopeia. They are manufactured under the same rigorous GMP standards as our pharmaceutical products, ensuring high-quality ingredients.
**The legal status of food-grade Chondroitin Sulfate inside the European Union**
In the EU, certified food-grade quality is the only legal source of Chondroitin Sulfate for use in food and food supplements. ScanDroitin™ USP is approved for both food and supplement applications.
Following the latest amendment (EC/2016/355 amending EC/853/2004) regarding Chondroitin Sulfate's use in food and food supplements, manufacturing facilities must comply with EU regulations for food and highly refined products. In 2017, we received revised authorization reflecting these new laws. As a result, you can confidently and legally use ScanDroitinTM USP in a wide range of food-intended products for the EU market and consumers.
